ACMA Partners With The Adhesive And Sealant Council To Broaden Scope Of COMPOSITES 2011 Event
The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) recently announced that it is partnering with The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) to provide a broader range of exhibits and education at COMPOSITES, February 2-4, 2011 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The exhibit hall will feature an Adhesive and Sealant Pavilion organized by ASC. As part of the industry partnership, COMPOSITES will also offer an ASC education session for conference attendees devoted to this topic.
"We're always looking to provide additional value to COMPOSITES attendees," says Tom Dobbins, Chief Staff Officer of ACMA. "Feedback from last year's event indicated that many of our attendees were looking for more products and solutions relating to adhesives and sealants. Having an exhibit pavilion and education programming with this kind of focus really expands the scope of the COMPOSITES event." says Heather Rhoderick, Director, Conventions and Education of ACMA.
"The Adhesive and Sealant Pavilion at COMPOSITES is an excellent opportunity to bring product innovation and focused, educational content to this important market segment," adds Matt Croson, president of ASC. "We look forward to a successful partnership with ACMA that delivers on the promise to broaden the value offered to the design-engineering community, which is clearly looking for as many solutions as possible at a single location."
In addition to the new Adhesive and Sealant Pavilion, COMPOSITES will also feature a COMPOSITES EUROPE Pavilion, University Pavilion and the Awards Pavilion. ACMA has added University Poster Sessions and panel discussions with "Rising Stars in Composites" and "Women in Composites" to further extend the scope of the conference. This year's event will continue to focus on existing markets such as marine and construction but also will include a focus on emerging markets such as wind energy and infrastructure and will cover high-performance applications and environmental and energy topics.
COMPOSITES is the largest composites event in North America, attracting nearly 3,000 participants from every segment of the industry. It is organized each year by ACMA. ASC is the North American trade association representing the adhesives and sealants industry.
