Middleton, MA - The Bostik Findley Flooring Group is pleased to announce the development of MVP® (Moisture Vapor Protection) — a single-component, urethane anti-fracture membrane for engineered and solid hardwood flooring installations.

John Burgoyne, Bostik Findley Flooring's Hardwood Products Manager, said MVP is proven in a wide array of installations over substrates such as concrete, plywood, particle or chip board, well-bonded vinyl, ceramic tile, cement backer board, cement patch underlayments, radiant-heat flooring and terrazzo.

"MVP substantially reduces moisture vapor transmission from the subfloor and bridges cracks up to 1/8th-inch wide," Burgoyne said. "No moisture testing is required prior to applying MVP. It takes 12 to 16 hours to cure before the installation of engineered or solid hardwood flooring using Bostik's BEST®, BST®, EFA®, Ultra-Set Hardwood® or Fast-Tack® adhesives. Equally important, MVP is very user friendly, offers unequaled workability and is self-leveling."

MVP is a moisture-cure urethane applied via the notched side of a 3/16" x 5/32" trowel. Each 5-gallon pail of MVP delivers coverage for up to 225 square feet. Compliant with all state and federal regulations for Volatile Organic Compounds, MVP can be sold in all 50 states.
