Don' get any on you!
One of our return Customers had been running a pilot program for supplying Hot Melt Adhesives to the Furniture Industry.
They had been using a modified HVF M series for the initial runs and when the product took off they looked to us for an automated system.
The design team went to work on bringing a basic HVF R110 into compliance with being able to maintain about 200 degrees F through the wetted parts. In addition to auto load and auto fill of the aluminum cartridge, (definite need for positive cutoff at the nozzle!), we also had to deposit a desiccant on top of the plunger, granular desiccant mind you, and then run through a traditional flat cap seaming system.
We are pleased to say that the system has been started up, is running production, and looks like there may be room for another one.
