CETCO Malaysia Wins Talisman Contract For Downhole Services

CETCO Energy Services, a globally integrated service provider, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary CETCO Oilfield Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“CETCO Malaysia”) was awarded a three-year plus one-year option contract with Talisman to provide both technology and services to repair downhole leaks using the SEALMAKER technology. Contract commenced January 2014 at an operating rate of RM10,000,000 (US $3,000,000).

CETCO Malaysia has been an exclusive partner with SEALMAKER for the Asia Pacific market since November 2011. The patented SEALMAKER technology repairs a wide range of downhole leaks in tubing, casing, packers, wellhead seals, control lines and umbilical and subsea pipelines. As compared to other sealants, SEALMAKER holds pressures from multi-directions. This technology combined with CETCO Malaysia service infrastructure provides a total leak repair solution to the operator.

The SEALMAKER technology will repair leaks and hold pressure from all sides allowing the operator to restore the integrity of the well and recover production without the need for a costly work over. The SEALMAKER repair service has a 90% success rate due to the accurate diagnostics performed by offshore engineers and specialists, a key differentiating factor relative to competitive services.

As a world leader in temporary and permanent water treatment systems, CETCO Malaysia also provides desanding along with well and pipeline services. The contract with Talisman allows CETCO Malaysia to expand value added services into well integrity to follow up on similar services provided to PETRONAS.
