Adchem Adhesives Inc.based sealants were introduced into Japanese market by the inventor, Kaneka, some 20 years ago. The rise in popularity of this technology is due to the versatility and well-balanced properties. Adbond MS sealants are suitable for a wide range of applications in many different market fields. The specific main technical properties of Adbond MS sealant which distinguish them from other sealants, are the following:
- Environmental friendliness: The sealants and adhesives are made without the use of any solvent or hazardous raw materials (isocyanate eg).
- Gunnability: Unlike other products, the viscosity of Adbond MS sealants are much less dependent on temperatures changes and can be gunned at very low temperatures.
- Weather Resistance and Durability: Outdoor exposure tests comparing different silicone, polyurethane, and Adchem Adhesives Inc.based sealants repeatedly give the best results to MS-Polymer based sealants who show no cracking, splitting or adhesion failure after may years of testing.
- Paintability: Adbond MS sealant provide good paintability with water based paints. Some types can be painted "wet-on-wet" immediately after application.
- Adhesion on many different substrates: Of all products, MS-Polymer based sealants and adhesives have the widest range of substrates onto which they adhere.
