Amtex-CCR is an electronic grade solvent system designed to dissolve silicone based conformal coatings, release agents, adhesives, RTV rubbers, etc. from a variety of surfaces.
Amtex-CCR is an electronic grade solvent system designed to dissolve silicone based conformal coatings, release agents, adhesives, RTV rubbers, etc. from a variety of surfaces. The solution is free of CFCs, HCFCs, petroleum distillates and flammable ingredients. It is effective at room temperature on most cured and uncured silicones.
Physical Data
- Flash point: 160°F
- Vapor pressure: 0.70 mmHg at 20°C
- Density: 7.75 ± .2 lbs./gallon
The solvent can be used at room temperature for most applications. If removal time is short, the solution can be agitated and/or warmed to 110°F to speed its action. It can also be used in ultrasonic applications.
For cured resins, a time period of from 1-8 hours is required to solubilize the resin, depending on resin type and thickness.
After resin is solubilized, rinse well with Amtex-Rinse or water to remove any residue from the silicone or the CCR.
