Acumeter Laboratories, Inc. includes two divisions
- Acumeter and May Coating Technologies, both
designers and manufacturers of industrial
equipment. Through an extensive network of
certified sales professionals and representatives,
Acumeter and its divisions can serve most
locations worldwide. Corporate headquarters are
located north of St. Paul in Arden Hills,
Minnesota.
Acumeter has established an exceptional reputation
domestically and internationally for innovation
and quality in the nonwovens and converting
industries since 1949. Manufacturing and service
for the thousands of Acumeter hot melt coating
systems worldwide is handled from our Holliston,
Massachusetts, facility. Acumeter holds numerous
patents for application methods and equipment
specifically for the nonwovens and disposables
industry.
The Holliston plant has a test facility available
for evaluating substrates and hot melt coating
materials on an LH-3 laboratory coater/laminator.
Coating capabilities include slot die, thermal
lamination and spray.
Acumeter Products include many specialty coating
systems, cold gluing systems, precision metering
gearpumps and the LH-3 tabletop laboratory
coater/laminator for application of hot melts.
May Coating Technologies was established in 1983.
May Coating's expertise is in the design and
manufacture of hot melt web coating systems and
thermoplastic processing equipment.
May Coating products include several standard
lines of hot melt application equipment and a
complete line of hot melt processors. Years of
experience in designing and building systems for
precision web coating applications have resulted
in a line of cost-effective coater/laminators, die
coating modules, roll coaters and rotary screen
pattern coaters including our patented deckle slot
die. The full line of hot melt processors from
5-2400 lb/hr delivery includes our patented
inverted drum unloader.
The May Coating Engineering Group specializes in
the design and fabrication of custom-engineered
systems to meet a customer's specific
requirements. Custom systems may include web
handling, coating, laminating, pumping, slitting,
chilling, heating, UV, thermal curing, or drying
components.
Our process development facility located in the
Arden Hills facility provides the equipment and
expertise to assist our customers in their process
development. Laboratory capabilities on 3
fully-equipped coating lines include slot die
coating, roll coating, screen printing, UV
curing, web cleaning and thermal lamination.
