The Simalfa range of water-borne adhesives has been designed to be simple in use, deliver the necessary tack for quick spray and stick applications and conform to changing environmental regulations. The Simalfa one-part system exhibits initial green strength far greater than other water based products, including the various two-component products marketed today and its final bond is far superior to conventional solvents.

Simalfa products are the only single component adhesives that allow substrates to be placed together immediately after spraying. The main features and benefits of Simalfa are: it is a solvent free, 100% water-borne system; it has a high green strength which facilitates rapid bond development immediately after spraying; it is a one-part system which gives a simple, trouble-free application; it is mist free and offers excellent mileage; it has a high heat resistance, possessing a superior bond quality at elevated temperatures and offers versatile adhesion that allows it to bond to a wide variety of substrates.

The Simalfa range of waterborne adhesives is suitable and well established for the foam, furniture, upholstery, automotive and aerospace industries.

Simalfa is excellent for bonding foams such as latex, polyether, polyurethane and polyethylene and can also be used to bond porous materials to themselves or to substrates such as wood, particle board, cardboard, jute, rubber, plastic and metal etc. Simalfa should be applied to both sides with a spray gun with desired adhesive strength attained by pressing the two substrates together. In some instances, single sided application is possible.
