a linear actuator drives a mechanical lead screw that engages a disposable piston from behind, moving it forward and back in a disposable syringe.
• This will keep material safely enclosed in a completely disposable, silicone-free package.
• On command from the microprocessor control unit, the air free piston will push or pull the material in the syringe.
• A tight, 'interference fit' between the mechanical piston and the barrel of the syringe ensures maximum control of the material both forward and back without air.
• With air free mechanical dispensing, modern flow control is achieved with software, not by compromising the size of the needle or altering the time or power of a blast of air.

Since the air free system allows it, proper needle size can be chosen for the specific flow rate of the material and application, the adhesive stays in a more relaxed state and dispenses smoothly and precisely. Materials with fillers remain homogenous, tunneling does not occur as significantly and expensive formulations using precious metals are not crushed. Significantly, because of the precise mechanical action of the lead screw, air free dispensing is repeatable.
