EMSEAL Introduces Revolutionary Seismic Joint System

Westborough, MA - EMSEAL announces its revolutionary Seismic Joint System (SJS). The hybrid system is ideal for use in applications requiring watertight, sound dampened seismic and large movement joints, such as in parking decks, stadiums, and floors.
EMSEAL's SJS is a modular composite of engineered metal components and enhanced, existing horizontal-plane hybrid silicone bellows and impregnated foam technology. The system consists of two or more pre-assembled, horizontal joints that are adjacent to a heavy-duty, extruded aluminum spline. The spline is the receptor for attachment of heavy-duty cover plates, which bear vehicle and other loads and wear. The hybrid components made of silicone and impregnated foam, act to anchor the system, ensure watertightness, absorb sound and dampen vibration.
"This product takes what we do best—impregnated foam and silicone hybrid joint sealants—and building on a long and successful track record, extends this capability into large horizontal plane deck joints," comments EMSEAL President and CEO Lester Hensley.
With the introduction of its SJS, EMSEAL extends its sealant capabilities to large (5 inches and larger) horizontal plane deck joints. For more information about EMSEAL's SJS, please visit www.emseal.com.
