Fast-Curing PRECOTE 85 From Nylok

Macomb, MI - Pre-applied PRECOTE 85 from Nylok Corporation – which offers better-controlled torque-tension than any other
adhesive – was developed to answer the industry's need for a better way of fastening components in place during assembly. The fast-curing turquoise-colored high strength thread coating for high stressed bolts with controlled torque/tension has a low coefficient of friction 0.10 to 0.15 and maintains locking and sealing properties when exposed to temperatures from -58ºF (-50ºC) to 390ºF (200ºC) for 2,000 hours. PRECOTE 85 has been approved worldwide by automotive manufacturers and has proved invaluable in electronics, telecommunications, aerospace and other high-tech industries.
As one of several PRECOTE dual microencapsulated chemical adhesives from Nylok, the adhesive will not prematurely harden due to chemical reactions of moisture and/or solvent penetration. It has high breakaway torque, even after repetitive exposures to high and low temperatures, and seals against pressures up to 400 bar (5,760 psi).
The coating complies with and exceeds IFI, DIN and major automotive specifications and can be applied to external and internal threaded fasteners. It is not affected by high humidity conditions and increases productivity at assembly lines. No additional locking devices are required and parts are ready for assembly. Nylok, a member of the Marmon group of companies, holds more patents for innovative fastener technology than any other company and has built a reputation throughout the world for "INNYVATION" in developing new products that solve assembly challenges.
