Hercules' Fredericks to Lead Resins Division

Hercules Inc. Tuesday announced the appointment of Thomas W. Fredericks to head its Resins division. Fredericks, who had been business director for hydrocarbon resins, has been named vice president and general manager for Resins. He will report to Vincent J. Corbo, Hercules president and COO.

``This promotion recognizes Tom's strong performance and leadership in Resins, as well as his achievements in previous roles and in the Paper Technology Division,'' said Corbo.

Fredericks joined Hercules in 1979 as a technical representative in Kalamazoo, Mich. He held various sales positions in that region until moving to Wilmington as product supervisor for the Reactive Sizing business in 1987 and, since then, has held a number of increasingly responsible positions in sales and product management in the Paper Technology business. In early 1998, he transferred to the Resins Division to become business director of hydrocarbon resins.

Hercules manufactures chemical specialty products used in a variety of home, office, and industrial products. Its businesses are Pulp and Paper, BetzDearborn, Aqualon, Resins, Food Gums and FiberVisions.
