Interactive CD-ROM

Devcon's complete catalog of high-performance OEM adhesives and MRO maintenance/repair products is now available on CD-ROM. The CD includes an interactive database with a built-in search mechanism which prompts users for specific application requirements and provides comprehensive information on the products that best suit their needs.

For OEM bonding applications, users simply enter the substrates (ABS, PVC) to be joined and the search mechanism selects any Devcon adhesives which meet their requirements. The list of adhesives can be further narrowed based on performance criteria, such as cure times, physical bond strengths, and chemical resistance. Users can then view detailed technical information on each adhesive, as well as material safety data sheets. By clicking on a hyperlink button in the CD-ROM, users are automatically connected to Devcon's recently expanded web site for simplified literature requests or e-mail.

The CD-ROM also contains complete information on Devcon's maintenance and repair products. By choosing from a chart of common MRO applications, users can narrow their search to the Devcon products which meet their specific requirements. Choosing particular performance criteria further refines the selection.

The CD-ROM is also designed to aid customers in product use. It incorporates detailed instructional information on Devcon products and a comprehensive directory of field application reports, which are quickly accessed through the search mechanism. The CD even includes instructional application videos on selected products. These videos demonstrate various aspects of product use, including surface preparation, application, and safety considerations.
