Optimum threadlockers secure parts in load bearing situations, resisting shock and constant vibration, and preventing failure. Since the fluid completely seals the threadform, it stops rust and corrosion, hardening to a tough solid plastic. The products are job identified and utilize color codes for easy recognition.

The anaerobics have been know to perform well, especially on zinc and plated finishes, and are less sensitive to light oily protective films. It has been known for some other anaerobics not to cure on these parts, even after 24 hours. When comparing speed of cure on brass and bronze, it can be done in less than 5 min. with fixture times being achieved in less than 15 min. on most materials. Metal/plastic combinations require an activator.
