offers two product lines: The
OxySIM®
product line includes adhesives and encapsulants used in microelectronics
packaging applications. From the variety of products, which include epoxy-based
and BMI-based products, we offer superior performance, easy of processing
and excellent reliability.- The SumiOxy® adhesives are based on silicon-imide copolymers that offer excellent thermal stability, for applications that require stability at temperatures over 300oC. Since 1994, we have been supplying SumiOxy® adhesive tapes for the assembly of DRAM. More recently, we developed tapes for the emerging packaging technologies. In addition, in 1997 we commercialized SumiOxy® liquid adhesives for high performance packages such as hermetic packages.
- The SumiOxy® polymer technology is a result of joint work by Occidental Chemical and Sumitomo Bakelite. A joint venture between these two companies was form in 1994 under Sumitomo Durez, a 37-year-old ongoing joint venture business between Occidental Chemical and Sumitomo Bakelite.
