A plastic caulking tube features a ribbing system at the bottom end of the tube which allows air to escape
A plastic caulking tube, designated the "Self Burping" tube, features a ribbing system at the bottom end of the tube which allows air to escape when the plunger is inserted. The ribs protrude approximately ten thousandths of an inch from the inside wall at the bottom of the tube and are approximately 1.25-in. in length. This injection-molded tube also features an angled bottom that automatically lines up the plunger to fall into the tube.
