Devcon was formed more than 40 years ago in a shed leased from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology when Al Creighton created Plastic Steel® Putty, the first metal-filled epoxy. This tough, steel-filled epoxy quickly became an alternative to welding and brazing. Today, Devcon manufactures a wide range of epoxies, urethanes and coatings for metal rebuilding, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair of critical equipment exposed to abrasion, wear, corrosion and chemicals. Devcon also manufactures a complete line of epoxy and methacrylate adhesives for production and maintenance bonding applications.

Devcon products are sold through industrial and specialty distributors to a variety of industries including mining, coal preparation, electric utility, petrochemical pulp and paper, general manufacturing and OEM plants.
