PPG Industries Wins Chrysler LLC Award For Adhesives And Sealants

Adrian, MI - PPG Industries, the world's leading manufacturer of transportation coatings, announced it has won Chrysler's "Best In Competitive Set" Award in the automotive adhesives and sealants category. PPG, the only supplier recognized in the category, received the award at its Adrian, Mich., coatings manufacturing facility.

Paul Itchue, a Chrysler exterior procurement buyer, presented the award -- which honors suppliers scoring high marks for quality, system cost, delivery and technology -- to Ron Nakamura, PPG global director, Chrysler team, and Dennis Kovalsky, PPG vice president, automotive coatings.

"We are honored to have Chrysler recognize our commitment to excellence, dependability and innovation," said Ken Laberdee, production manager at PPG's Adrian plant.

Kovalsky said, "We are proud to contribute to Chrysler's success in today's automotive marketplace and hope to continue this partnership in years to come."
