Sartomer Company Increases Monomer and Oligomer Prices Due to Rising Raw Material and Energy Costs
EXTON, Pa. – Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company announces that it has increased the prices of its monomers and oligomers. Effective immediately (or as contracts allow), Sartomer's acrylic monomer prices will increase by 10 to 12 cents per pound; methacrylate monomers by 10 cents per pound; and oligomers by six cents per pound.
According to Sartomer's business director of specialty products, Paul Elias, the price increase is due to the rising costs of the raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products.
