Silicone Carrier Solvent

Amtex-SCS is a specially formulated biodegradable solvent mix designed to be used as a carrier or diluent for silicone based coatings. It is comprised of saturated hydrocarbons, custom blended for silicones. Th product is designed to help the user comply with worker and environmental safety regulations.

Use Amtex-SCS to dilute solventless silicone based coatings before spray or dip applications. Add the product to the coating, while mixing, until the desired consistency is reached.

The product will evaporate at room temperature in about 15 minutes. It has been tested for compatibility with many silicones, however, always test first in small quantities.

It can also be used to flush uncured silicones out of application equipment. If cured or semi-cured silicones are present, first solubilize the silicone with Amtex-CCR and then rinse well with water or Amtex-Rinse.
