KOR LOK GT 42-3053 is an intermediate- and high-temperature setting emulsion adhesive.
KOR LOK GT 42-3053 is an intermediate- and high-temperature setting emulsion adhesive. The fast setting properties of this adhesive can significantly reduce cure cycles on RF or hot press equipment resulting in increased production rates. It can also be cold pressed.

It is used for veneering panels, edge-gluing solid lumber cores and laminating. It is formulated to have superior sandability and a more rigid glue line for curved plywood applications.

The adhesive is a modification of 42-3036 formulated for faster setting in RF edge gluing applications.

Bond quality has been found top be excellent on a wide variety of the more common wood species. Aging data has shown excellent performance in accelerated testing. It is suggested, however, that this adhesive be evaluated under actual production and service conditions. Actual strength attainable is dependent upon joint preparation and operating conditions.

Discoloration of wood veneer products occurs occasionally. Such discoloration is very infrequent and ranges in appearance, color and may vary with the species of the veneer. Discoloration may appear during or after the manufacturing process. Among other things, environmental conditions in some processing plants can contribute to discoloration. If veneer discoloration occurs, technical service representatives are prepared to assist customer in attempting to identify the causes of the staining and possible solutions.
