The company's Tri-Shaft Mixers fall into two main type, Tank Top or Hydraulic Lift, and the choice will depend on product characteristics or production process.

In the Hydraulic Lift design, the drives and shafts are mounted on the tank head which in turn is mounted to a bridge which can be raised and lowered hydraulically. The mix tank is portable and can be designed for hydraulic ram discharge. The system also allows for the use of multiple tanks. One tank can be unloading while another is mixing.

In the Tank Top design, the drives and shafts are mounted on the tank head which is fixed to the tank body. All loading and unloading of product is done through ports and outlets in the top and bottom heads.

All mixers are custom designed to handle specific material requirements.

Blade Combinations and Mixing Options
A common combination is a high speed disperser, and auger, and a low speed sweep arm. The sweep arm, with teflon scrapers, moves the batch away from the tank wall and in towards the disperser blade. The constant movement of product at the tank wall assists in the heating or cooling action of the jacket. A reversible auger helps to draw powders into the batch and assists the deaeration process.

Customers can choose from any combination of disperser, emulsifier, impeller, gate, or sweep to suit their needs. Some blades, such as the disperser, are available in a variety of designs and sizes and are interchangeable.
