An underwater pelletizing system produces micropellets from 0.508 to 3.175 mm, depending on accessory configuration. To minimize water consumption, it is a closed-loop system that allows process water to be filtered, temperature corrected, pressurized, and returned to the slurry system. The system also allows the polymer to travel from the extruder to the dryer without being exposed to the immediate environment.
