The company offers a unique line of UV curable electrically conductive epoxy compounds that feature low/no outgassing and low/no shrinkage. After application of the epoxy, the exposed area is irradiated with long wave UV light (320-380nM wavelength). If a thick section, a skin will form which prevents any bleed or flow or slumping. The cure of the unexposed material under the skin is completed with a short low temperature heat post cure. Some of the formulations will even cure completely with UV alone, in thinner sections.
The electrical conductivity of this series varies from truly conductive- <0.01 ohms to static bleed, to EMI/RFI shielding.
Conductive UV curable epoxy materials are used as adhesives for surface mounting components, as a "cold" solder for heat sensitive components, in coatings to bleed static charges to ground, and to shield from external or to contain internally generated EMI/RFI, as a sealant or coating.
